I had to laugh today when I read a Tweet I received from Roger X who questioned whether I was selling Quantum Physics or if I really believed in it. I had to ask him, “How do you sell Quantum Physics?” His response was to tell me that Quantum Physics is a real science and what I talk about is Mysticism and is not reality based. OMG I just had to laugh as I replied to him that my teacher Amit Goswami, Ph.D is a theoretical nuclear physicist and member of The University of Oregon Institute for Theoretical Physics since 1968, teaching physics for 32 years. Dr. Goswami wrote “Quantum Mechanics” the intermediate to graduate level textbook used by the University of Oregon.
I told Roger X to check his assumptions, then I looked at his profile which said, “Skeptic”. Well, there you go. His possible probabilities are colored by his beliefs. Obviously he comes from the mainstream materialist science, where I come from Post Materialist Science. And while his views do not allow mine to exisit, my views include his views, because to me consciousness is the ground of all matter. Materialism is exclusive. Consciousness is inclusive. Think about that long and hard for a few minutes.
And if you have trouble understanding that, Dr. Amit Goswami created the film Quantum Activist. He challenges us to rethink our very notions of existence and reality. If you would like to meet with me to discuss this we can go through this workbook together and I will help you really understand how quantum physics relates to our real world environment and living within it’s principles can really change our future here on earth. I was gratified by Roger’s openness a few minutes later when he said, ” I will gladly admit when I’m wrong.” and he opened it up for further investigation. That’s what we need people. Go through the objection. Remain centered. And educate. One person at a time.

I read up. His scientific works are legit. His recent things are mystical musings not backed by any kind of scientific rigor or rational corroboration.
As I said, he is selling a conflation of mysticism and science. This is bad. Your post is correct in that you have educated me; I have discovered another wrong path to avoid.
I know you will scrub my comment from your blog – there can be no room for dissent or questioning in any selling of spirituality.
But I did think I would would take the opportunity to reply.
Good luck on your journey… I agree with your “It’s a fight” statement and you’re going to lose, as rationalism and humanism prevail over the spiritual mumbo-jumbo of the day. Poeple realize more and more that adding the words “quantum physics” in front of imagined or contrived mysticism does not make it legitmate.

Roger, I am not going to scrub your comment. Because there IS room for dissent in my philosophy. I also value that you took the time to look into it. I was being sarcastic when I said it was a fight. You see because consciousness creates physical reality there is nothing to fight against. Consciousness is ALL there is.
